9,000 applications submitted for 1,500 seats in UoO

OKARA: More than 9,000 students applied for 1,500 seats in 20 disciplines in the University of Okara (UoO) for year 2016-17.
According to UoO campus coordinator Dr Khalid Saleem, the Punjab government is keen to promote education.
THREE VANS IMPOUNDED: The Traffic police Okara detained three drivers and impounded their vehicles on charges of having LPG cylinders and petrol can under seats.
Police arrested drivers Shahbaz, Muhammad Ashfaq and Shahid Iqbal and registered cases against them under sections 285, 286 and 268 PPC.
