Alleged robber arrested in Mardan

MARDAN: The police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man on the charges of theft at Khwaja Gunj bazaar in Mardan city.
Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shah Mumtaz Khan said that unidentified thieves broke open the locks of four shops at Khwaja Gunj bazaar on September 19 and took away money and other valuables.
He added the police arrested an accused identified as Kashif on the charges of committing the theft. The official said the police recovered Rs 67,960 from the accused, who had stolen it.
Shah Mumtaz said that 87 suspects had been arrested so far in various parts of the city during the ongoing operation against anti-social elements.
