Autopsy of two murder accused conducted

OKARA: Autopsy of two murder accused, who were killed by the firing of their accomplices on Tuesday night, was conducted at the DHQ Hospital on Wednesday.
After the autopsy, the bodies were handed over to their relatives for burial.
A-Division police had arrested accused Faizan of Mian Colony and accused Nabeel Ashraf of Sirki Mohallah in an abduction-cum-murder case. On Tuesday night, the police were taking the accused near Kot Bari to recover the body of Rab Nawaz when their four accomplices got them released from the custody. To it, the police started chasing them.
Near Chak 1/1R, the criminals opened fire on the police. As a result, Constable Azizur Rehman was injured. The police also retaliated. When the guns were silenced, police found Faizan and Nabeel Ashraf dead while their accomplice managed to escape.
Woman dies after being forced to gulp poisonous pills

OKARA: A woman was murdered over a land dispute at Chak 12/GD.
Haq Nawaz and Maham Ali had a land dispute with their sister-in-law Nazia w/o Ghulam Mustafa. On Tuesday night, Haq Nawaz and Maham Ali with their accomplice entered the house of Nazia and allegedly beat her. The accused also forced her to swallow poisonous pills. As a result, she died instantly. Ravi police have registered a case.
Five injured by rivals

OKARA: Twenty-one people allegedly injured their five rivals at Chak 21/GD on Tuesday night.
Liaqat, Siddique, Asghar Ali, Farooq and others allegedly attacked the house of rival Shabbir over litigation and opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Danish, Afzal, Noman, Atif and Adnan were injured seriously. The injured people were shifted to the DHQ Hospital. Sadr police have registered a case on the report of Ubaidullah Mayo and started investigation.
