Girls shine in Sargodha board
SARGODHA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Sargodha, organised a medal awarding ceremony for the position holders of intermediate annual examinations 2016 here on Saturday.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Zakia Shahnawaz was the chief guest at the event while BISE Chairman Prof Sirajul Haq, Controller Examinations Liaqat Ali Naveed and other were also present on the occasion.
Overall 36,850 candidates appeared in examinations held in May this year of whom 17,707 were male and 19,143 were female candidates. Overall 23,898 candidates were declared successful with pass percentage of 65.
Noreen Ayesha (Roll No 409917) stood first with 1039 marks while Hansa Malik (Roll No 401561) stood second with 1038 marks and Maryam Iqbal (Roll No 401273) stood third with 1037 marks.
Addressing the ceremony, Zakia Shahnawaz said that the position holders were a precious asset and future of the nation. Later, the minister distributed medals and prizes among the position holders.
