Unannounced, prolonged blackouts in Charsadda protested
CHARSADDA: The residents on Sunday staged a protest against the unannounced and prolonged blackouts and demanded reduction in duration of excessive power cuts.
The dwellers of Hasara and Tarnab Farm gathered in Farooq-e-Azam Chowk to stage the protest. Member district council Fazal Amin, members tehsil council Asad Khan and Fazal Wahab were leading the protesters.
Speaking on the occasion, they said the residents of the Hasara Yasinzai, Tarnab Farm and adjacent villages were being subjected to unbearable loadshedding. They said up to 20-hour long power cuts were being carried out in these villages.
They said that the prolonged and unscheduled power outages made life miserable for the consumers.The protesters dispersed peacefully after the police officials assured them to take up their reservations with the officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company.
