2 dead, 5 hurt in Hafizabad accident

HAFIZABAD: Two people were killed while five others sustained injuries in an accident on the Motorway near Pindi Bhattian Interchange on Sunday.
A truck was carrying cattle to Lahore from Kotmomin when it overturned. As a result, Asghar Ali and Muhammad Rafiq of Kotmomin died on the spot while Zafar Ali, Mohsin, Ahmad, Shan and Shafqat sustained injuries and rushed to a hospital.
FUNCTION: A function was organised in the honour of outgoing DCO Muhammad Ahmad Rajwana by ex-MNA Ch Afzal Hussain Tarar here on Sunday.
Federal Minister Saira Afzal Tarar, MNA Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, MPA Asadullah Arain, Gujranwala Commissioner Muhammad Asif, ex-DCOs Muhammad Usman, Ibrar Ahmad Mirza, Mansoor Qadir, DPO Muhammad Haroon Joiya and others attended the function. Speakers lauded the services of Ahmad Rajwana and said that he rendered great services for his department.
