Faisalabad combing operation
25 suspects taken into custody so far
Team recovers weapons from deras of local politicians, including UC chairmen

FAISALABAD: Twenty-five suspects have so far been taken into custody during the combing operation, which entered the fifth day here on Saturday.
On Friday night, the combing team searched the deras of some local politicians, including three union council chairmen. The raiding team recovered two Kalashnikovs from the dera of political figure Ali Awan, three Kalashnikovs from the dera of Union Council Dhudiwala Chairman Pervaiz Kamoka and took his two employees Mudassar and Sami into custody.
A gun and a double-cabin vehicle were recovered from the deras of Union Council People’s Colony Chairman Mohsin Saleem and Union Council Madina Town Chairman Rana Israr. The team also recovered arms from a seminary on Jhang Road, besides searching eight main bazaars of Faisalabad. The combing team also nabbed Yasin Commando, the gunman of a local politician, and former inspector, Rana Farrukh. The former inspector was arrested on his return to Pakistan from abroad.
