Tearing Nandipur power plant record
Three-member Pepco team begins inquiry

GUJRANWALA: A three-member Pepco team on Friday reached Nandipur power plant to investigate tearing of its record by unidentified people.
Genco Muzaffargarh Director Shahid Sohail, who had also served as project director at the Nandipur power plant, is in-charge of the committee while Director HR & Admin Muhammad Imam and Deputy Director Security Muhammad Aftab are its members.
The team inspected the site and inquired the security personnel about the incident. The team prepared the list of record, which was torn or damaged by the unidentified persons.
It is learnt that plant security guard Balqias Khan, who is in custody of the plant administration, is yet to be handed over to police.
DEMO: Dozens of people on Friday staged a demonstration against the railway authorities’ decision to demolish Old Railway Station mosque. The protesters gathered on GT Road and chanted slogans against the railway officers. They demanded the authorities concerned withdraw the decision.
