Two girls gang-raped in separate incidents

Two girls were gang-raped in separate incidents in the provincial metropolis on Thursday. 

A girl was raped by two people in the limits of South Cantt police. As per complainant Asma Bibi, she along with her sister Farah was going to Ghazi Chowk for shopping when accused Danial and his unidentified accomplice approached them, bundled Farah into their car and drove away. They took the girl to an unknown place where they raped her and later dropped her near Al-Madina Marriage Hall Ghazi Chowk.

Some passersby spotted the girl lying unconscious with her clothes torn and informed the police. Green Town police registered a case against the two rapists on the complaint of the victim’s sister Asma Bibi. Yet in another incident, a girl was gang-raped by three people in the limits of South Cantt police.

According to complainant (rape victim) Nusrat Bibi, her friend Madiha took her to her house on the pretext of celebrating her birthday.

A woman identified as Kausar Bibi and her husband Tariq were already present in the house who took her to a bungalow in Gohawa where three unidentified men were already present. Kausar left the bungalow and the three men gang-raped her.

South Cantt police registered a case on the complaint of victim Nusrat Bibi. Meanwhile, two people were kidnapped from various parts of the city.

A man was kidnapped by unidentified people in Iqbal Town police area. As per complainant Muhammad Irfan, his father went to Moon Market and did not turn up.

The family made all out efforts to trace him but all in vain. He suspected that his father had been kidnapped. Iqbal Town police registered a case.

A 21-year-old youth was kidnapped by three people in the limits of Nishtar Colony police station.

As per complainant Ejaz, his brother Mazhar Iqbal, a labourer, was doing work near Sofia Darbar when three unidentified people approached him and took him with them.

Ejaz believed that his brother had been kidnapped. Nishtar Colony police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s brother Ejaz.
