Leaves of sanitary staff cancelled in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: The City District Government has finalised its cleanliness plan for the upcoming Eidul Azha.
In this connection, a meeting was held in the chair of DCO Muhammad Amir Jan. The DCO cancelled leaves of all sanitary staff to maintain cleanliness arrangements on the Eid. The DCO said that the officers of Waste Management, Wasa and TMAs would be responsible to inspect the arrangements for removing offal, entrails and carcasses of sacrificial animals during the Eid days. He said that sanitary staff would be on duty on all the three days and strict action would be taken against absent officials and officers. He said that area supervisors, inspectors and zonal chief sanitary inspectors would be responsible to ensure the presence of all sanitary staff.

GUJRANWALA: An FIA team on Wednesday arrested an alleged human smuggler from Gujrat.
On a tip-off, the FIA team headed by Inspector Sajjad Bajwa raided and arrested alleged human trafficker Sheraz Basharat who was allegedly involved in sending people abroad illegally. The FIA official said that several cases were registered against the accused human smuggler.
