Defence Day observed in Sukkur, other cities
SUKKUR: The Defence Day was observed here and in many other cities with national zeal and enthusiasm. At the Pano Aqil Cantonment, the Pakistan Army organized a weapons exhibition in which the weapons used in the 1965 War were displayed.
A large number of people, including students from various schools and colleges, visited the exhibition where Army officers briefed them about the weapons and the martyred heroes of the 1965 War. People also laid floral wreaths at the monuments of the martyred Army Jawans and paid rich tribute to them.
Meanwhile, people took out rallies to celebrate the Defence Day. The participants of the rallies raised slogans in favour of the Army and especially in favour of the COAS. Special programmes were organized at different schools where rich tributes were paid to the martyrs of the 1965 War.
