ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate’s Committee on Interior Senator Rehman Malik on Wednesday expressed concerns over the joint statement of United States and India saying that he was hurt to see the joint declaration of United State and India on combating terrorism and naming Pakistan directly.
Commenting on the joint statement of the US and India Senator Rehman Malik said Pakistan is a sovereign state that is facing worst kind of terrorism and extremism since decades and Pakistan is fighting on frontline against terrorism. “Sacrifices of Pakistan in war against terrorism are more than any country of the world”, he said.
He said India’s role in the region has never remained positive especially the Indian Prime Minister Modi who leaves no stone unturned in blaming Pakistan and spreading hate between two neighbouring countries. Senator A. Rehman Malik urged the United States to stop India from interfering in Pakistan’s conflicted and terror stricken areas of Fata and Balochistan.
He said that India as state is involved in terrorism which was proved by Indian Prime Minister Modi’s confessional statement about his country’s illicit involvement in breaking Pakistan in 1971.
He asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to raise the issue of Indian involvement in Pakistan in United Nations in a strong way.
Senator Rehman Malik said by naming Pakistan, India tried to pressurise Pakistan for its own designed acts of terrorism like Samjhoota Express and others. “What is India doing in Balochistan, why US is silent over it,” he questioned.
Senator Rehman Malik said Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terrorism must be respected and valued by the world especially United State and by such joint statement US is encouraging Indian Prime Minister Modi to spread more hate in the region and enhance RAW activities in promoting terrorism.
