Man dies in accident

GUJRANWALA: A man died in a road accident on Monday. Reportedly, Qadeer was riding a motorcycle and near Mafi Wala a speeding truck crashed into the motorcycle, leaving him dead on the spot. Aroop police have registered a case.
ID SONGS CONTEST: Gujranwala Arts Council Monday arranged a national songs and tableau competition in its auditorium in connection with the Independence Day celebration.
A large number of students of various schools participated in the celebration.
In the national songs competition, the first position was bagged by students of The Educators, the second by Apple Roots school, the third by Quaid-e-Azam School and the fourth by Aizer High School.
Arts Council’s Resident Director Dr Muhammad Haleem Khan distributed prizes among the position holders.
