ISLAMABAD: The sacrifices, human and financial, Pakistan has rendered in the war on terror are far more than the sacrifices the rest of the world has given.
Dr Tahirul Qadri, Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), said this on Monday while talking from London via video link on the World Peace Day.
He said Pakistan had given sacrifices of over 50,000 people, and the next Nobel Prize should be awarded to the 200 million people of Pakistan.
Dr Tahirul Qadri said it was time the world recognized our sacrifices as Pakistan also sacrificed economic and political development for this cause. He said that it was the army operation, Zarb-e-Azb, which gave hope to the people of the country.
He said if the National Action Plan was implemented in its totality, terrorism and its supporters and financiers would not find any place to hide.
Addressing the workers and leaders of PAT and Minhajul Quran, Dr Tahirul Qadri said that Pakistan was playing a very important role in the world as far as literacy and education were concerned. He said Pakistan’s message was only of peace and peace alone.
Tahirul Qadri said that the world must accept us as peace-loving people and help resolve the issues of Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan and Iraq so as to bring peace to the world. He said all the disputed territories must be returned to their lawful owners, and all the international agreements implemented in letter and spirit.
