WAPDA to face HEC in women volleyball final today

KARACHI: Holders WAPDA and Higher Education Commission (HEC) qualified for the final of the 12th National Women Volleyball Championship here at the KPT Sports Complex on Saturday.
In the semi-finals, WAPDA beat Punjab 25-13, 25-9, 25-6, while HEC ousted Sindh 25-16, 25-10, 25-10.
The final will be held on Sunday (today) at 4pm.
Sindh sports minister Mohammad Bakhsh Mahar will grace the closing ceremony.
Before the title clash, Sindh and Punjab will fight for the third place, at 12 noon.
Army defeated Azad Kashmir 25-16, 25-17 to claim the fifth position.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa overpowered Balochistan 25-19, 25-18 to settle for the seventh spot.
