Huge cache of narcotics seized in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: Police recovered four kilograms of heroin and three kilograms hashish from the hidden cavities of a car during an action in the limits of Tarnab Police Station on Saturday, official sources said.
They said that Tarnab police manning a checkpost flagged down a motor car to stop. Baffled by the police presence, the driver jumped out of the car and started running towards the fields.
Upon searching the hidden cavities of the car, police recovered four kilograms heroin and three kilograms hashish.
The police launched a search operation to arrest the fleeing driver who managed to escape.
Body recovered in Peshawar: A woman was killed and her body thrown in fields in Nasir Garhi in the limits of the Chamkani Police Station on Saturday.
The police said they recovered the body of a woman, around 25 years of age, from the fields. The police registered the case.
