Lawyer, his brother killed by UC chairman, four others

SIALKOT: A lawyer and his brother were killed and their relative was injured over an old enmity at Talwara Mughlan on Tuesday night.
According to police, Talwara Mughlan Union Council Chairman Shamsher Gul Khan alias Sher Khan, his brothers Shan Khan and Aftab Gul Khan with their two unidentified accomplices allegedly gunned down Mirza Zafar Baig advocate and his brother Imran Baig and injured their relative Nauman Baig. The injured man was shifted to a local hospital from where he was referred to a hospital in Lahore due to his critical condition. Rangpura police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, the District Bar Association observed strike against the double murder on Wednesday. The lawyers also boycotted the courts. DBA president Maqsood Ahmad Bhatti, general secretary Sarfraz Ghumman and others demanded immediate arrest of the accused persons.
