Journalist robbed of valuables

OKARA: A journalist and his friends were robbed of valuables on Wednesday.
Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa, a member of Okara press club, and his friends were on the way to his farm at Satghara chowk, when three motorcyclists intercepted them and snatched Rs 58,000 and mobile phones.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Faisal Rana assured the journalist to trace robbers soon.
Sadr Okara police have registered a case.
JUDGE’S CAR STOLEN: Thieves stole the car of a civil judge from the city on Wednesday.
Civil Judge Mian Sohail Anjum parked his car in the street of the city C-block but when he came back he found it missing.
The case has been registered.
7 HELD FOR DECANTING: Police Wednesday arrested seven people on charges of decanting.
Okara police in a drive against unlawful refilling of gas from cylinders arrested Manzoor, Muhammad Arshad, Ishtiaq Ahmad, Umar Hayat, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Adnan and Imtiaz Ahmad, while Muhammad Usman, Rehamat Ali, Mukhaiar and Azhar Hassan managed to escaped. Cases were registered against the accused.
