Screening test for PMS challenged at PHC
PESHAWAR: A candidate on Wednesday moved the Peshawar High Court (PHC) to seek re-holding of the screening test for the Provincial Management Service (PMS) alleging open use of unfair means in the examination.
Kaneez Sakina Ali challenged the screening test of PMS through her lawyers Mian Muhibullah Kakakhel and Saifullah Muhib.
In the petition, she claimed that “blue-eyed” candidates were allowed to use electronic devices and smartphones in the examination.
“The papers were sent outside the halls through Whatsapp and Viber availing 3g/4g Internet service to friends of the candidates and to experts to seek their help in answering the questions. The duly answered papers were then sent back to the candidates,” the petitioner claimed.
The petition stated that officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission gave lame excuse when a complaint was submitted by the petitioner and other candidates about the mismanagement on the part of the staff of halls concerned.“The paper was uploaded on the very same day of the examination. The paper was not allowed to be taken out from the hall. It had serial number on it and it was supposed to be handed over to the PSC staff with the answer sheet,” the petitioner stated.
The petitioner requested the high court to declare the written examination of PMS as void as first there is no screening test in rules and secondly unfair means were used by the “blue-eyed” candidates.
