GWADAR: At least eight workers of banned outfit were apprehended during a joint operation of Balochistan Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies in Gwadar on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the FC spokesman, Balochistan Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies on a tip off carried a joint operation in Jewani and apprehended at least five terrorists. In another incident, the security forces nabbed at least three terrorists from Gwadar. The terrorists were involved in different incidents of terrorism including attack on Jewani Airport.
According to FC Spokesman, security officers, following a tip-off conducted a search operation in Gwadar during which eight most wanted suspects of outlawed organization were held.
The detainees were involved in heinous crimes including attack on Jiwani Airport. Separately, as many as two terrorists were killed in a raid of security personnel in Mashkay area. The suspects have been shifted to an unknown location for further investigation, he said.
At least two Civil Aviation Authority engineers were killed when heavily-armed militants launched the attack on CAA installations at the Jiwani airport near Balochistan’s Gwadar port in the early hours of August 30.
