Karachi Blues dismiss Faisalabad for 240
KARACHI: Faisalabad were bowled out for 240 in their first innings by Karachi Blues on the opening day of their three-day Inter-Region Under-19 Cricket tournament Group A first round outing here at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Tuesday.
Muhammad Rizwan hit 60 with seven fours, while Mohammad Salim (45) and Ali Raza (41) were the other prominent scorers.
Obaidullah Khan and Asher Qureshi got three wickets each.
Karachi Blues, in response, were 52-1 in their first innings at stumps.
At Garhi Khuda Bux, Hyderabad posted 219 all out in their first innings with Asad Malik scoring 100 with eight fours and a six.
Ameer Hamza and Nadir Ali captured three wickets each. Larkana were 37-1, in response, at close.
Here at NBP Sports Complex, Quetta were 132-8 in their first innings against Lahore Blues. Abdul Wahid struck 37 with three fours. Abdul Nasir made 32 with three fours. Ahmed Shafiq and Waseem Khan claimed three wickets each.
At Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar, no play was possible in the Group B match between Peshawar and Dera Murad Jamali owing to rain.
At LCCA Ground, Lahore, Lahore Whites were reeling at 74-5 in their first innings against Sialkot as only 34 overs play was possible due to delayed start because of wet outfield.
Ramis Mustafa belted 29 with two fours. Uzair Nasir was batting on 22. Taimoor Hasan got 3-24.
At National Ground in Islamabad, Rawalpindi were 310-9 in 83 overs in their first innings against Multan.
Umair Masood struck 74 with 12 fours, while Wahid Ullah Khan made 70 with ten fours. Multan were 4-1 in reply, at close.
In a Group C clash, at Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir were dismissed for 127 by Islamabad.
Faizan Tahir hammered 46 with two sixes and eight fours. Alamgir Khan got 4-31, while Muhammad Musa captured 3-29.
Islamabad, in response, were 161-4, for a lead of 34 runs, in 39 overs. Muzammil Shah made 76 with 12 fours and a six. Sajawal belted 56 not out.
At Dring Stadium, Bahawalpur, Karachi Whites perished for 279 against Bahawalpur with Amad Alam making 93 with 12 fours. Hasan Mohsin scored 62. Shehram Hussain got 4-65. Bahawalpur were 4-1. At Abbottabad, Abbottabad were dismissed for only 109 by FATA. FATA, in reply, were 86-4.
