Pindi rally to be ‘do or die’ episode: Qadri
Addresses rallies in Quetta, Karachi through video-link
LAHORE: The September-3 Qisas and National Solidarity rallies and sit-ins in Rawalpindi would be the ‘do or die’ episode, said Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri, while addressing protest rallies and sit-ins in Quetta and Karachi via video-link from Lahore, on Sunday.
Later, addressing a press conference, the PAT chief said that now it would not be a long phase and the Sept-3 rallies would be decisive. He said struggle would produce results and it would be a victory for all martyrs of Model Town, Peshawar Army Public School, Quetta, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, Wagha and Karachi Karsaz incidents.
He said now they all would get justice, and no poor would have to fear the rich and powerful as justice would be even-handed. He said when anyone questions the disloyalty and anti-state activities of the rulers, they start screaming that democracy was in danger.
The PAT chief said that in Karachi a political leader openly spoke against the very existence of Pakistan and the government said they had written a letter to the UK authorities. He termed it a joke with the nation that the rulers did not condemn that party and its leader. The government should impose a ban on all members of that party, he demanded
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Sheikh Rashid of the Awami Muslim League, Mufti Rafiur Rehman of the Sunni Tehreek, Bishop Ijaz Enayat, Dr SM Zameer, Syed Ali Awsat, Rai Kamran, and Mirza Junaid Ali also addressed the Quetta and Karachi rallies and sit-ins.
Sheikh Rashid demanded an end to the rule of the corrupt PML-N. He requested Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri to join hands to rid the country of the rulers.
Addressing the Quetta public, Dr Qadri said that people of Balochistan were fighting for the development and existence of Pakistan. He said we salute the bravery and courage of the people of Balochistan and their sacrifice would not go to waste.
