Chitral youth to get training under poverty reduction project
CHITRAL: Up to 52 unemployed youth would undergo heavy machinery training under Programme for Poverty Reduction (PPR) project of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). “The 52 youth were selected keeping in view the poverty score card from Drosh tehsil,” said Salahuddin, the project manager of PPR.
He said the youth had left for Peshawar where they would be imparted three months training. The official said under the SRSP-PPR initiative several projects had been completed and the arrangement of trainings to polish the raw talent of youth was one of the components of the strategy aimed at reducing poverty. “Producing skilled youth would be a best way to reduce poverty,” he went on to add.
Earlier, he urged the youth to make best use of the training. “It’s the best opportunity for you to get training and earn a livelihood for your families,” he added.The trainees on the occasion hailed the PPAF and SRSP for affording them the opportunity to hone their skills.
