Rally staged, treason case filed against Altaf Hussain in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: Activists of various political parties, journalists, traders and civil society on Wednesday took out a protest rally against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain hateful speech and inciting people on violence.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribe with slogans against the MQM chief remarks. They gathered outside the building of the Charsadda Press Club to stage the protest.
Activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Qaumi Watan Party, Awami National Party-Wali, Tajir Ittehad and civil society participated in the protest rally.Member National Assembly Maulana Syed Gohar Shah, Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Shakoor and others were leading the protesters.
The speakers condemned the anti-Pakistan statement and slogans by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief, saying there were already serious allegations against Altaf Hussain of allegedly having links with the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
They said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief has now crossed all the limits by chanting anti-Pakistan slogans and inciting people on violence. They appreciated the role of media for presenting the facts and bringing true face of MQM chief before the people that forced the MQM leaders to distance themselves from Altaf Hussain.Meanwhile, a local journalist got registered a treason case against the MQM chief Altaf Hussain in City Police Station for his anti-state speech and alleged involvement in anti-state activities.
