Vet among two commit suicide in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two people, including a veterinary doctor, committed suicide in separate incidents here on Tuesday.

In the first incident, veterinary doctor Masood Iqbal of Gulshan-e-Hayat Colony ended his life by shooting himself in his house. A suicide note was recovered from the spot in which the victim stated that he had stolen a weapon from the car of his colleague which he used in his suicide. In the second incident, Munir Sial of Islampura committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills over a domestic dispute.

ABDUCTION BID FOILED: A primary class student foiled an abduction bid here.

Arslan Ahmad of Makkuana was going to a shop when three kidnappers abducted him on Monday evening. The abductors after intoxicating the boy put him in a van and escaped. At 10pm on Monday night, the abductors stopped their van on Feroze Wattoan Road outside a hotel for dinner. In the meantime, the boy gain consciousness and started weeping. Hearing noise, some passersby came to the van and asked the boy why he was weeping. The abductee told the story of his kidnapping to them. To it, the people overpowered the abductors. On information, the parents of abductee Arslan Ahmad reached Feroze Wattoan. Later, the boy was handed over to them after verification.

 

No clue to abducted son of constable

FAISALABAD: Police have so far failed to recover an abducted son of a constable.

Haroon Ashfaq, son of Constable Ashfaq Ahmad of Satiana police station, was going to a tuition centre when unidentified people abducted him about 10 days ago. Police have registered a case.
