KOHAT: The police on Monday claimed to have arrested an absconder who had escaped Bannu jailbreak.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sohaib Ashraf told The News that one Mir Zaman, belonging to Orakzai Agency, was a prisoner in Bannu Central Prison, but he escaped from the jail when the militants attacked the prison.
He said the absconder was sentenced to 50 year imprisonment after being arrested in terror activities and attacks on the law-enforcement agencies.
