Rs 1,030m spent on 278 uplift schemes in Hafizabad dist

HAFIZABAD: More than 278 development schemes have been completed in the district at a cost of Rs 1,030 million under different development programmes.
It was told in a District Development Committee meeting held to review pace of work on ongoing development schemes under the chairmanship of MPA Asadullah Arain here on Friday. The meeting was told that the funds were provided for provision of communication, education, healthcare, sewerage, potable water and others facilities to the people of the district. The meeting was informed that 132 development schemes had been completed under the Pak Millennium Development Goal at a cost of Rs 230 million, 35 schemes had been completed at a cost of Rs 75 million under the District Development Programme, four schemes of construction of roads were completed at a cost of Rs 457 million, 106 schemes of construction of additional classrooms and provision of missing facilities in the schools were completed at a cost of Rs 180 million and establishment of Basic Health Unit Rasoolpur Tarar had been completed during the last financial year. The MPA directed the officers of the provincial Buildings Department to ensure completion of the District Jail by August 31. He also directed the other concerned departments to expedite pace of work on the ongoing schemes.
