Non-recovery of missing child: Protesters in Faisalabad turn violent, beat policemen
FAISALABAD: Residents of Dialgarh staged a demonstration against the alleged police failure to recover a boy, who had gone missing about three days ago.
The protesters, including women, also blocked the Faisalabad-Sargodha Road near Bawa Chak for two hours to register their protest.
They said that Mehboob Ahmad had gone missing about three days ago, but police had so far failed to recover him.
On information, a police party reached the spot and asked them to clear the road. It infuriated the protesters and they allegedly manhandled and beat Head Constable Muhammad Wasim and other policemen.
In the meantime, Nishatabad SP Ahsanullah Khan reached the spot and held talks with the protesters. He assured the protesters of recovering the missing child soon.
Police have arrested six protesters Qamar Zaman, Zahoor Ahmad, Muhammad Azeem, Abdul Shakoor, Abbas Chan and Shaukat Ali and registered a case against them for blocking a road.
