Attempt to kidnap boy foiled in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA: An abduction bid was foiled at Shaukatabad on Wednesday.Sources said that three accused were allegedly trying to abduct a boy when people caught one of the alleged kidnappers, later identified as Rafaqat of Abbottabad, and gave him a good beating.
However, his two accomplices fled. The accused was handed over to the Civil Lines police for further investigation. During investigation, the accused told that he was not a kidnapper and was came here on a business tour.
Meanwhile, relatives of a boy, who was allegedly abducted two days ago, staged a demonstration against police at Garjakh. The protesters alleged that the police had arrested an accused and he was hander over to Khiali police but later the SHO told that he was not a kidnapper. They demanded immediate recovery of the abducted boy.
