Lawyers flay Quetta suicide blast

MULTAN: The lawyers and journalists have condemned the Quetta suicide attack.
Talking to The News here on Monday, Multan High Court Bar Association president Sheikh Jamshed Hayat expressed grief on the loss of lives in the suicide attack. He said that the MHCBA would observe complete strike today. Multan District Bar Association president Azimul Haq Pirzada said that the bar had turned the scheduled Kashmir conference into a protest meeting.

MULTAN: The city and adjacent areas received downpour on Monday.
The rain caused power outages and inundation of low-lying areas. The rainwater also entered the Police Lines. The rain tripped 25 feeders, causing power suspension. When contacted, the Multan Electric Power Company spokesman said that the power supply would be restored after rain stopped. He said that restoration work could not be carried out during rain. The spokesman also cautioned the people against touching electricity poles.
Four injured in gas cylinder explosion

MULTAN: Four people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion on Budhla Road.
Shop owner Allah Wasaya was refilling a cylinder when it suddenly exploded. As a result, Allah Wasaya, his son Mustafa and customers Javed and Nawaz were injured. The injured people were shifted to the Nishtar Hospital by Rescue-1122 staffers.
