Impersonator booked
From Our Correspondent
OKARA: Gogera police booked an impersonator here.
Malik Shabbir Saqib of Chak 38/GD, Youngpur, contacted villagers and told them that he had been appointed as special assistant to the chief minister. He asked them to accord him welcome on his arrival in the village. On Sunday, dozens of villagers and friends reached GT Road near Kot Bari and Pul Jurian Stop and welcomed him, besides holding a public meeting.
When police verified Shabbir’s claim, it proved fake. A case has been registered under Sections 419 and 420 of the PPC.
