‘Govt not afraid of dharna politics of PTI’

HAFIZABAD: State Minister for Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the government is not afraid of dharna politics of PTI chief Imran Khan and his allies.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the state minister said that dharna politics would not stop progress and prosperity of the nation. She said that the government had achieved more development targets during the current year as compared to last year. She claimed that the PML-N would be victorious in the next general elections. She said that the development projects worth Rs 9,575 million had been executed in the district during the past eight years. Replying to a question regarding the condition of sewerage system in the city particularly in Garhi Awan area, she said that an integrated plan had been started, which would be completed during the current year at a cost of Rs 200 million, which would resolve the long standing problem of the city. Referring to a question regarding increase in the prices of medicines, she said that prices had been stabilised for maintaining quality of medicines. The minister said that the government was not afraid of Panama Leaks scandal and expressed her hope that the issue of ToR would be resolved shortly. Referring to a question regarding the restoration of his father Afzal Hussain Tarar on the slot of union council chairman at Kolo Tarar, she said that the judiciary was independent and he was restored on merit.
