UAF conducts 4th entrance
test for undergraduate programmes

FAISALABAD: Around 12,000 students appeared in the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, fourth entrance test for undergraduate programmes here on Sunday.
The test was conducted in 12 cities, including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Layyah, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari, Burewala and Bahawalpur. As many as 6,655 students appeared in the Faisalabad campus whereas 5,274 in the rest of the cities. Meanwhile, UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan during his visit to the examination halls said that the criteria and process for the admission to the UAF undergraduate programmes had been revamped to make it further strengthened and get talented students through entrance test. He said that the university was taking tangible steps to provide skilled manpower, which guarantees a bright future. The initiative would uplift the economy and alleviate poverty, he added. The UAF was the only educational institution in the country which had been ranked among the top 100 universities worldwide in any category, he maintained. The candidates appeared in the test could check their result after one week online, he told. The students must submit the application for admission/merit list by August 22 in the respective office, he informed. The merit list would be displayed on August 25, he added. However, no entry test was required for admission to the Associate and BEd degree programmes, he said.
