Deputy Commissioner Mutasim Billah Shah has imposed ban on pillion riding, display of weapons, aerial firing, one wheeling of motorbikes, vehicles with tinted windows, audio and videos carrying hate speeches and unnecessary use of loudspeaker for one month in the district.
Section 144 lifted in Nowshera: The administration on Saturday announced to lift section 144 in the district in time for the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to start its protest campaign beginning today against the PML-N’s federal government.
“The section 144 imposed in the district banning public gatherings has been lifted,” said a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Iftikhar Alam.
The notification comes at a time when PTI activists and leadership are all set to take out a rally from Peshawar to Khairabad today against corruption and in favour of across the board accountability.
