15 cops get notices for poor performance

FAISALABAD: CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar on Wednesday issued show-cause notices to 15 policemen for negligence and showing poor performance.
They included Javed Qamar, Zafar Zaman, Muhammad Ashraf, Ghulam Qadir, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Qasim, Mukhtar Ahmad, Mazhar Irfan, Sanaullah, Nazir Ahmad, Muhammad Waris, Akbar Ali, Tajammul Hussain and Shaukat Ali. The CPO also suspended Gulberg police Muharrar Babar Jameel and demoted City police ASI Muhammad Aslam for showing poor performance.
2 WOMEN DIE IN ACCIDENT: Two women were killed in an accident here on Wednesday.
Faiza Idrees of Chak 275/RB and Jannat Bibi of Chak 622/GB were killed in a road accident. Meanwhile, Nadeem Adil, a police official, was also critically injured when a truck hit his vehicle on Chak Jhumra Road. He was shifted to the Allied Hospital.
STOLEN MEDICINES SEIZED: Drug Inspector Khalid Mustafa on Wednesday raided a private clinic at Dijkot and recovered a huge quantity of medicines stolen from the Government Health Centre, Dijkot.
The drug inspector raided the clinic of Zafar Hussain and recovered stolen medicines. Police have registered a case.

FAISALABAD: A married woman committed suicide at Chak 57/GB on Wednesday.
Raheela Bibi, wife of Sadi Ahmad, committed suicide by hanging herself with a tree. The motive behind the incident is said to be a domestic dispute. Police handed over the body to her family after completing legal formalities.
