Abbottabad, Malakand, Swat boards announce HSSC results
ABBOTTABAD: Girls students bagged nine top positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Abbottabad, announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examinations here on Sunday.
Controller of Examination Jehanzeb Khan said that 31,420 students appeared in the examination out of which 21,238 passed the examination.
In Pre-Medical, Eman Aslam of Peace College in Mansehra got first position with 977 marks, Syeda Misbah Noor of PIPS Abbottabad with 974 marks got second and Urooj Arshad Mansehra Public School & College secured third position with 972 marks.
In Pre-Engineering, Ehzaz Ashraf of Government College KTS, Haripur, with 976 marks got first, Khola Riaz with 970 marks secured second position, Bibi Mahnoor with 969 marks got third position.
In computer/General Science Group Summiya Javed of Tameer-e-Watan College, Abbottabad, obtained first position with 952 marks, Farah Jameel of Khyber Public college, Mansehra, with 915 marks stood second and Samra Fida of Mansehra Public College and Faran Arshad Chohan of Bright Vision College, Haripur, with 885 marks got third position.
In Humanities Group, Hamma Fida of Noor College Mansehra with 873 marks secured first position, Sidra and Sadia Wali of Government Girls Degree College No-1, Mansehra, obtained second and third positions, respectively, by getting 865 and 851 marks.
Our correspondent in Timergara adds: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand on Sunday announced results of Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSSC) annual examination for the year 2016.
Yasirul Mulk of Allama Iqbal Model School, Upper Dir, clinched first position in the board by securing 994 marks out of the total 1100 marks while Usmanullah and Amir Rashid both students of Islamia Model College, Timergara, stood second and third in the board by grabbing 991 and 990 marks, respectively.
Yet another student of the Islamia Model College, Timergara, Shah Zad Ahmad secured 975 marks and got 4th position in the board. “The overall result remained 65 percent,” Controller examination BISE Malakand Professor Syed Jamil Ahmad told The News.
Students of Islamia Model College, Timergara, grabbed all the top 14 positions out of the top 20. It is to be mentioned that Islamia Model College, Timergara, is owned by the Khyber PakhtunKhwa Finance Minister Muzaffar Said.
Our correspondent in Mingora adds: As many as 73 per cent students passed the intermediate examination for both Part-I and Part-II held by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Swat.
A press release issued by the Swat BISE stated that as many as 36,035 candidates appeared in the intermediate examinations wherein 26,494 passed the examinations.In Part-I examination, 18,803 candidates appeared while 13,006 passed.Similarly in Part-II examination, 17232 candidates appeared while 13,488 passed.
Rukhsar Khan of Swat Public School and College, Mingora topped the Part-II examination by securing 1023 marks. She was followed by Masroor Anwar of Government Degree College, Mingora with 1018 marks.
