Black polythene bags seized

CHAKWAL: District Environment Officer Faisal Maqsood Khan Thursday raided a godown in fruit market near old bus-stand and recovered thousands of black shopping bags.
Police booked godown owners Raja Ameer Sultan and Raja Jehangir Sultan and challaned them and produced them before the court of senior civil judge. According to the DO Environment, the black shopping bags were injurious to health and their use must be discouraged.
RIFLE RECOVERED: Kalar Kahar police Thursday recovered a 7mm rifle from an accused involved in a murder case at village Kahout. Sub-inspector in charge Buchal Kalan police check post M Riaz during an investigation recovered the rifle and its bullet from accused Latif Ahmed.
