IHC allows Engr Mirza to become party in plea against CII’s opinion
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday accepted a miscellaneous application of religious scholar and motivational speaker Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, seeking to become a party to the main case against the opinion of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in a blasphemy matter.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case against the opinion of CII in which it declared Engineer Mirza Muhammad Ali as guilty.
Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Ayubi advocate, appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner. The court was told that this was only a miscellaneous application through which a request had been made to become a party to the main case. After hearing the arguments, the court accepted the miscellaneous application and allowed Engineer Mirza Muhammad Ali to become a party to the case. The case was filed by DrAslam Khaki.The court adjourned further hearing until November 12.
