Demo against Wasa

GUJRANWALA: Residents of Katcha Darwaza Saturday staged a demonstration outside Wasa Office at Sheranwala Bagh and raised slogans against the MD.
They alleged that Wasa officials have received rupees from them to remove water from the area but no action was taken so far.
They said the old people, women and children were facing severe difficulties due to stagnant water for three weeks. They demanded the commissioner and the DCO take an early action against corrupt officers and officials of Wasa and direct them to drain out the sewage from the area. They said if waste water is not removed soon then they fear diseases’ break out in the area.
