Man shot dead over mobile phone row

FAISALABAD: A man was shot dead over a mobile phone dispute here on Saturday.
Mian Babar of Sani Chowk, Jhang Road, was shot dead allegedly by Muhammad Atif and others. A passerby, Muhammad Ashfaq, was also injured in the incident. The injured man was shifted to the Allied Hospital.
GIRL ELECTROCUTED: A girl was electrocuted at Gulfishan Colony.
The girl was switching on a fan in her house when she received an electric shock and died on the spot.
However, some neighbours alleged that the girl was killed by her parents. To it, police reached the spot and started investigation. During investigation, the allegation proved baseless. Hence, police allowed the parents to bury their daughter in a graveyard.
20 BOOKED: Thikriwala police have registered a case against 20 people on the charges demolishing a wall to occupy the house at Chak 241/JB.
Mirza Shaukat reported to police that 20 people, including Maqsood Ahmad, had allegedly demolished the boundary wall of his house in a bid to occupy it. Police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
