2 motorcyclists run over

BAHAWALPUR: Two motorcyclists were run over by a speeding van near Tahir Wali Chowk on Saturday morning on KLP National Highway.

Aslam Khaliq and an unidentified man were on their way to Channi Goth when a Karachi-bound van ran over them.

E-COURT SYSTEM INAUGURATED: District and Sessions Judge Rana Masood Akhtar Saturday inaugurated Electronic Court System at District and Sessions Court Bahawalpur.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by additional district and sessions judges, senior civil judge, civil judges, IT focal persons and the subordinate staff of the District Court.

The operationalisation of E-Court at district and sessions court has provided online access to the CJ, who may observe the court proceedings through this system. The E-court has also the operational facility to provide video link system to conduct judicial proceedings which would enable the judicial officers to record the statements of the witnesses living both in the foreign country and in the far flung areas.

Later, District and Sessions Judge Rana Masood Akhtar also inaugurated one window information centre block at the Sessions Court Complex. The one window information centre would provide information to both applicants and petitioners regarding court proceedings and other relevant information.
