Meeting held to finalise Haj flights from Sukkur
SUKKUR: The first Haj flight from the Begum Nusrat Bhutto Airport, Sukkur, will leave for Jeddah on August 6, 2016 and further flights will be continued till the 13th of August.
To finalise arrangements in connection with the Haj Operations-2016, a meeting took place here on Wednesday at the office of the commissioner, and was presided by Commissioner Sukkur Division, Muhammad Abbas Baloch.
Officials of Civil Aviation, PIA, municipal administration, health, police, customs and other concerned departments were also present on this occasion. Briefing the meeting, Deputy Director Haj informed that 1,000 Haj pilgrims will leave from the division to perform Haj this year.
In this connection, the first Haj flight will leave for Jeddah on August 6. During the meeting, the commissioner Sukkur said all required facilities would be provided to Haj pilgrims at the Haj Complex.
To ensure cleanliness and lighting at the Haj Complex, he directed the Municipal officials to make proper arrangements. He further said that cleanliness process would be completed till 25th August and the cleanliness staff should remain present at the Complex till completion of Hajj operations.
The Commissioner directed the health officials to complete vaccination process for the pilgrims ten days before the first Hajj flight from Sukkur airport. However, he added that an ambulance and all required medicines should be made available at the dispensary, while anti-mosquito pesticides should be sprayed, he directed. He also directed that strict security arrangements from Hajj Complex to Airport Road should be ensured, while lady police staff should also be deputed. He informed that he had also written to the SEPCO authorities to avoid load shedding at the Hajj Complex.
