Gilani for creating Seraiki province

MULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that there is no room for dictatorship in the country.
Talking to The News here on Tuesday, he said that the Pakistan People’s Party was very much committed to strengthen democracy in the country. He said that the PPP always struggled against dictatorship. Gilani said that the PPP believed in strengthening the democratic institutions, like the parliament.
Earlier, addressing a People’s Lawyers Forum convention, former PM Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that the only solution to south Punjab backwardness and deprivation was creation of the Seraiki province. He said that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was representing 65 per cent youth population of the country. He urged the students to join the PPP. He claimed that the PPP had provided jobs to 100,000 youths during its tenure. Gilani claimed that the PPP had provided relief to the peasants during its rule and increased prices of Phutti, rice, wheat and sugarcane. Gilani said that the PPP believed in serving the people. The PPP had fixed 300 scholarships for the Bahauddin Zakariya University students.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab former governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood said that PTI chairman Imran Khan was not a good politician. He said that Imran Khan was also not a serious politician. He asked the PSF activists to develop an independent webpage directly connecting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s page for interaction and sharing ideas for promotion of the party. He said that the past, present and future of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif was Panama Leaks. PSF south Punjab president Arif Shah, PPP office-bearers Habibullah Shakir, Abdul Qadir Shaheen, Khawaja Rizwan Alam, Shaukat Basra and others were also present on the occasion.
