Pervaiz Elahi endorses Imran’s statement on army takeover
Says govt deceiving people through false slogans
GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that the government is cheating the nation with false slogans.
Talking to newsmen after inaugurating a private college in Wazirabad on Monday, he said that there was no facility of education and health for the poor while daily wagers were committing suicide.
He said that there was no comparison between Pakistan and Turkish leaderships. Imran’s statement regarding army welcome was a truth because the government had done nothing for the people, he added.
Pervaiz Elahi said that he had launched mega projects, including Rescue 1122 and the Wazirabad Cardiology Centre, during his tenure as the chief minister, besides reopening hundreds of closed government schools and upgrading educational institutions in the province.
He blamed Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for decline in literacy rate in the province. Former education minister Mian Imran Masood and others also addressed the ceremony.
