Qadri terms Sharif brothers ‘threat to country’
Says PML-N govt won’t be able to complete tenure
`
LAHORE: PAT Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri said the “Sharif brothers are a threat to the existence of country and to the national security, which is evident from the strong relationship they enjoy with the prime minister of India”.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he questioned why the Pakistan government sent policemen to India on the pretext of treatment of injuries. He said Shahbaz Sharif had been sending people from Karachi and Khyber, KP, especially policemen to India for medical treatment. He asked what kind of disease those policemen were suffering from which could not be treated in Pakistan, and for which those chosen people had to be sent to India. He said this fact was also mentioned in the Punjab government’s supplementary budget document. He said future line of action of opposition parties regarding Panama Leaks Commission and ToRs would be announced on July 31 after a consultative meeting with opposition parties at the PAT Secretariat.
Qadri reiterated that PML-N government would not be able to complete its tenure and would be thrown out well before completion of its term. He alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stayed idly in the UK for over 45 days during which he did not perform any official duties and his treatment was done in a clinic known for hair transplant.
He said the PAT would not budge an inch from its stance on Model Town incident as it would amount to selling the innocent blood of martyrs. He said a three-member PAT delegation led by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur would attend the United Oppositions meeting in Islamabad on July 19 to further proceed on the Terms of Reference issue.
He said the consultative meeting of opposition parties at PAT Secretariat on July 31 would be attended by all major leaders of opposition parties and contacts had been made with leader of the opposition Khursheed Shah, Sh Rashid, Sirajul Haq, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri. He termed it a good omen that all those parties that stood by Sharif brothers in 2004 were no more standing with them now.
Qadri said these rulers are supporters of terrorism and extremism and have to be ousted to secure a bright future of our next generations. He denied the reports that said he was going to London, saying all rumours of a London Plan were baseless.
He said he was going to Scotland under a planned visit which was arranged a long time ago and from Glasgow he would return to Pakistan. He said he foresees the premature end of the rule of Sharif brothers and by the grace of Allah they will never come back to power. He paid glowing tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi and said the deceased was an icon for the humanity and was the pride of Pakistan.
