Eid shopping gains momentum

MULTAN: Eid shopping is gaining momentum as people of all age groups, particularly women and children are seen buying things of their interest from different places.
Throughout the Multan city, stalls have sprung up where cosmetics, earrings, clothes, bangles and Mehndi items are present for shoppers.
A large number of decorated stalls are established in different places, including Hussain Agahi, Gardezi Market, Gulshan Market, Shah Rukn-e-Alam, Haram Gate, Bohar Gate, Kalay Mandi, Pak Gate, Lalkurti, Sadr Bazaar, Gulgasht, Choori Bazaar and Chowk Bazaar.
Reportedly, Kalay Mandi is the stated to be the best place for buyers to do Eid shopping.
According to shopkeepers, shopping rush will increase near Eid.
Makhdoom Babar, a stall owner, said we experience tremendous rush of shoppers normally after 23rd of Ramazan.
Sanobar Shadab, a student, said Eid shopping was incomplete without buying bangles and Mehndi.”
Tehniyat, another student of Allama Iqbal Open University, showed her interest in hand-crafted bangles but termed them costly in comparison with steel bangles. A shopkeeper said rubber bangles and artificial golden bangles are in great demand this year.
