25 arrested in Kohat operation
KOHAT: In view of security concerns, the police and security forces have arrested 25 suspects in a joint search operation conducted in surrounding areas of Kohat University of Science and Technology and district jail.
The authorities also seized arms and ammunition in the operation, said a press release of the Kohat Police.
Under the supervision of District Police Officer Kohat Mohammad Sohaib Ashraf, it said, special teams of police and other security forces raided in different areas including Jarma, Khawasi Banda, Muslimabad, Kamar Dhand and Waziro Killay and 25 suspects were apprehended.
During the operation, the police seized two Kalashnikovs, three shotguns, two riffles, three pistols, hundreds of bullets and more than one kilogram hashish. The arrestees were shifted to Jarma Police Station for further interrogation where criminal cases have been registered against some of them.
