PSL X shifted to UAE
The News has learnt from well-connected sources in capital that both options were discussed
RAWALPINDI: The PSL-X has been shifted to the UAE, AFP reported late Thursday night.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), after intense deliberations with franchise owners and key stakeholders, was deliberating on two options: either to take the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season X matches to a neutral venue or to postpone the event for the time being. It could be shifted to a country where the PCB thinks expenditures are less.
The News has learnt from well-connected sources in the capital that both options were discussed during a series of meetings held in Islamabad Thursday evening.
“Some of the franchise owners are not in favour of taking the remaining PSL X matches to a neutral venue and have suggested that the event should be postponed till the time normalcy prevails. The PCB high-ups are now considering the postponement option following the reaction they received from selected stakeholders,” the source confirmed to The News.
