Enmity claims lives of father, son

BAHAWALPUR: A man and his son were shot dead over an old enmity in Kotla Daulat in police station Pacca Larran on Saturday.
Reportedly, accused Karam Chandia and his accomplices shot dead Fida Chandia and his son Muhammad Asif when they were heading to Liaqatpur.
Mazhar Chandia suffered critical injuries in the attack and he was rushed to Sheikh Zayaid Hospital, Rahimyar Khan.
RPO LAUDS CRIME CONTROL EFFORTS: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur Dr Ahsan Sadiq Saturday urged police officers to make more efforts to bring crime ration lower.
Presiding over a high-level meeting through video link at his conference room, the RPO said effective policing had brought down killings and other crimes during the last 18 months in comparison to previous seven years duration.
He asked police officers to further curb crime. The RPO said it was a laudable development that police officers had brought down heinous crimes. A detailed presentation pertaining to the number of murders committed ranging from year 2016 to 2008 was detailed. According to year 2008 to year 2016 presentation some 402 murder incidents were reported in 2008, 423 in 2009, 483 in 2010, 476 in 2011, 479 in 2012, 515 in 2013 and 485 in 2014.
KILLS WIFE: A man murdered his wife over a petty issue in Basti Gulani in limits of police station Shedani on Saturday. Rasool Bakhsh Baloch killed his wife Azeeman, 60, with a spade over a petty domestic issue.
