Apca activists protest against lawyers

BAHAWALPUR: Apca activists on Friday staged a demonstration against lawyers of Liaqatpur for allegedly locking the assistant commissioner in his office. They also staged a sit-in outside the tehsil courts and raised slogans against the lawyers. Seeing the situation, the lawyers also gathered there and raised slogans against the AC and the TMA officials. On Thursday, the Liaqatpur Tehsil Bar Association president and the general secretary allegedly locked the assistant commissioner in his office. It is worth mentioning that the dispute arose last week when the AC took action against the hotels outside the courts.
LAWYERS STRIKE: On the call of the Pakistan Bar Council, lawyers on Friday observed strike against the kidnapping of the son of the Sindh High Court chief justice. Strike was also observed by the lawyers in Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalnagar.
MEHFIL-E-SHABINA: A four-day Mehfil-e-Shabina will begin at Jamia Masjid Al-Sadiq here on Ramazan 26.
